B. Rules and Regulations
1. Style
Shoulder pull style and hand pull style are both allowed.
Pumping and loosening are not allowed.
2. Team Registration
Teams willing to participate must register on or before 20 April 2026, 10:00 PM .
Teams from any region in Newfoundland may register, subject to these rules.
A minimum of 6 teams (Men’s) and 4 teams (Women’s) is required.
If the minimum is not met, the category match will not be conducted.
3. Team Members
A team must consist of 6 players competing at a time.
Substitution is allowed in case of injury, as per the rules.
The substitute must not weigh more than the injured player.
An injured player is not allowed to participate in later matches.
4. Weight Check
The total weight of 6 players must be 520 Mens and 420 womens (KG respectively.
All teams will be weighed and tagged before the first match.
Teams exceeding weight will be disqualified.
Overweight teams are not eligible for prizes.
Team photo is mandatory after weigh-in.
5. Substitute Player
Only one replacement is allowed per team.
A player cannot play for more than one team.
6. Coach
Only one coach is allowed per team.
If the coach touches the rope, players, spectators, or team members during the match, the team will be disqualified.
7. Refereeing
The referee panel’s decision is final and binding.
Matches will start with the command “Take the Rope.”
8. Walkover
Walkover rules will apply.
9. Court Entry
Only 8 / 7 persons, including the coach, are allowed inside the court.
10. Jersey
Team jersey is mandatory.
11. Complaints
Registration / identity-related complaints must be raised before the match starts.
During the match, only one team captain may raise a complaint.
12. Fixtures
Fixtures will be announced separately.Once fixtures are finalized, if the opposing team cancels, the other team will be declared the winner.
13. Match Format
Men’s matches will follow a best-of-three format from the semifinals onward. Women’s best-of-three will be played only in the final.
14. Team Members Names

15. Final Call
If a team does not report to the court within 2 minutes after the final call, the opposing team will be declared the winner.
16. Toss
The court will be decided by the referee in the presence of the team captains. If there is a third round in a match, the deciding court/pull will be based on a toss.
17. Amendments
The tournament committee reserves the right to amend the rules.
