Message from the President

Dear Friends and Members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Malayalee Association,

It is with great honor and humility that I accept the responsibility of serving as the President of NALMA for the year 2025-2026. I am deeply grateful for the trust and support you have placed in me, and I look forward to working alongside our board of directors and passionate members to take our community to new heights.

NALMA has always been more than just an association — it is a home away from home for Malayalees living in Newfoundland and Labrador. It is a place where we celebrate our culture, preserve our traditions, and support one another as one family. As we move forward, my vision is to strengthen this bond even further by fostering unity, inclusivity, and active participation from every member of our community.

In the coming term, we aim to create more opportunities for cultural exchange, community engagement, youth involvement, and collaborative initiatives with other cultural organizations. Together, we will continue to celebrate our heritage with pride, while also contributing meaningfully to the diverse and vibrant society of Newfoundland and Labrador.

I sincerely invite each of you to join hands with us — to share your ideas, volunteer your time, and actively participate in the events and initiatives we organize. With your support, we can make NALMA stronger and more impactful than ever before.

Thank you once again for this incredible opportunity to serve. Let us continue this journey together with unity, enthusiasm, and a shared vision for a brighter future.

Warm regards,

Jayesh Philip

President
